Changes to our privacy policy
This Privacy Policy might change occasionally. We'll let you know about any significant changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the website or through the app. If we're required by law, we'll also inform you in another way, like sending an email. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective as soon as we post the updated version. By continuing to use the website or the app after the changes take effect, you're agreeing to the updated Privacy Policy. It's a good idea to check this policy regularly for updates.
What data do we collect?
We gather information to make our website, app, and services better and easier for you to use. This helps us run the website, app, and services smoothly and lets you enjoy them more. Here's what we collect:
-
Personal Information: When you sign up for our service, we need your email address and phone number. This helps us set up your account and provide you with our services. You can also sign up or log in using your account from certain social networking sites like Facebook. If you do this, we'll get some information from your social media account, like your name, profile picture, and email address. We use this to create your account. The info we get depends on your privacy settings on the social network.
-
Non-Identifying Information: We also collect other details when you use our service, but these don't reveal who you are. This includes things like device information (like your device's IP address, name, operating system, and browser type), when you use our service, and how you interact with it.
We use all this information to improve our service and make sure it works well for you.

Some information that doesn't directly identify you might become part of your personal information if it's mixed with other identifiers. For example, if your zip code is combined with your street address, it could identify you. However, the same pieces of information are considered non-identifying when they're looked at alone or with other non-identifying details, like your preferences.
We might combine your personal information with non-identifying details and mix it with info from other Beyond Class users to try to make your experience better. This helps us improve our service and understand how people use our website, app, and services. Sometimes, we might use this mixed information without combining it with others, like when we're delivering a product to you based on your preferences or restrictions.
All Beyond Class users can easily review, update, correct, or delete their personal information in their account settings. If you decide to delete all your information, your account might be deactivated. If you want us to completely delete your account from our system, just send us an email at contact@beyondclass.org asking us to remove your personal information. We'll do our best to fulfill your request promptly. However, we might need to keep some records for legal reasons or legitimate business needs.

How do we collect your information?
Most of the data we gather is directly provided by you. We collect and process data when you:
-
Sign up online for our service
-
Complete a customer survey voluntarily
-
Visit our website using your browser's cookies
-
Participate in promotions on our website
-
Click on third-party advertisements on our site
-
Log into your account using certain third-party social networking sites (SNS)
Additionally, when you visit our website and app, whether you're a Beyond Class client or just browsing as a non-registered user, our servers automatically record information your browser sends whenever you visit a website (called "Log Data"). This includes details like your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, the webpage you visited before coming to our site, pages you visit on our site and app, time spent on those pages, searches you make on our site and app, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyze how our site and app are used, improve their functionality and user-friendliness, and tailor our service to our visitors’ needs. For example, we might use this data to personalize your experience and show you relevant advertisements. We don't consider Log Data as Personal Information or use it with other Personal Information. However, we might aggregate, analyze, and evaluate this data for similar purposes as other non-identifying information.

We also use "web beacons," "pixel tags," "clear GIFs," or similar means (collectively known as "Web Beacons") on our service. A Web Beacon is an electronic image, often a single pixel, embedded on web pages. Web Beacons aren't usually visible to users but allow us to count the number of users who visit certain pages of our service and gather statistics about how it's used.
We respect Do Not Track ("DNT") preferences. DNT is a setting in your web browser that tells websites you don't want to be tracked. You can turn DNT on or off by going to the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.
How do we use your data?
We use your Personal Information to:
-
Allow you to register for and sign in to the Service
-
Create and maintain your account
-
Communicate with you about the Service
-
Respond to your requests, questions, and feedback
-
Facilitate our third-party payment processing
We also collect anonymous data (not Personal Information), such as when a user visited our site, at what time, for how long, and how much bandwidth was used. This helps us improve our site to better meet the needs of our users. Companies that use our service often request this anonymous information to gauge the success of their events hosted on the site.

Our third-party analytics services automatically log certain information about your mobile device and how you use the Service. This helps us perform data analysis and troubleshoot and prevent errors. We may also use your data to protect your rights or the rights of others in accordance with the law, enforce our Terms of Use, and ensure compliance with the law.

We may share aggregated information that does not include Personal Information, and we may otherwise disclose Non-Identifying Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling, and other purposes. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information.

As a Beyond Class client, you can interact with and use Social Networking Sites (SNSs). By using an SNS via the Service, you understand and agree that Beyond Class will access your SNS account information so that it is available to you through your use of the Site, Application, and Service. Depending on the SNSs you choose to utilize via the Site, Application, and Service, and in accordance with the privacy settings you have set in your SNS account, you can post information (including your Personal Information) to your SNS account, and information you have posted to an SNS will be available via the Site, Application, and Service. Other services follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you submit to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of the other online services you use.

Although users pay to use our site, payments are processed by a third-party, and we do not store, process, or have access to any of this financial data.
How do we store your data?
We keep minimal user data on cloud-based servers located in the United States. Additionally, we have servers around the world solely for audio and video delivery; no data is stored on those servers. Personal data collected and processed isn't retained or used unless clearly stated and agreed upon in advance to support data privacy.

Your information may be transferred to and stored on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you're outside the United States and provide us with information, Beyond Class transfers Personal Information to the United States and processes it there. By consenting to this Privacy Policy and submitting your information, you agree to this transfer.

We take your information security seriously. We employ reasonable physical, technological, and administrative security measures and ensure they're applicable under the circumstances. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we aim to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk.

If there's any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored personal data, we'll make legally required disclosures to you via email or a conspicuous posting on the Site as soon as possible and without unreasonable delay, insofar as consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement or measures necessary to determine the breach's scope and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

Identity theft and phishing are significant concerns for Beyond Class. Protecting your information to prevent identity theft is a top priority for us. We will never request your credit card information, login information, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited email or telephone communication. For more information about phishing, visit the Federal Trade Commission’s website.
Who do we share your data with?
We don't sell Personal Information, but we may work with third-party companies and individuals to help us run our Service. These third parties might help us with things like maintaining the website, managing our databases, analyzing how the site and service are used, and improving our features. They only have access to your Personal Information to perform these tasks for us and are required not to disclose or use it for anything else.

Beyond Class also collaborates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to follow the law. We might share information about you with them if we believe it's necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal processes, protect our property and rights or those of a third party, ensure public safety, prevent illegal or unethical activity, or stop activity that we think could be illegal, unethical, or harmful.

In certain situations, Beyond Class might sell, transfer, or share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy.

If you connect your social media accounts to our Service, we'll also let those companies know that you've authorized access to your accounts with them.

If you choose to share any content via the Service and you've linked your use of the Service with a social networking site, your friends on that site will be able to see and access that content via the Service. We suggest being cautious with your anonymity and sensitive information.
Marketing
The website features third-party advertisements that you can click on if you're interested. We won't share any user information unless you choose to click on an advertisement. Additionally, we don't send marketing emails.
What are cookies?

How do we use cookies?
We use cookies in various ways to enhance your experience on our website. Like many other websites, we use "cookies" to gather information.

Third-party advertisers on the website may also install or read cookies in your browser. You can configure your browser settings to stop accepting cookies or prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, if you decline cookies, you might not be able to access all parts of the website or utilize all features of the service.

This means that when you browse another website, you may encounter advertisements tailored to your browsing habits on our website.

Our privacy policy applies solely to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, we advise you to review their privacy policy. Clicking on an advertiser's banner ad or other advertisement or on another third-party link will redirect you to that third party's website. Please note that our linking to a website or displaying a banner ad or other advertisement does not imply endorsement, authorization, or affiliation with that third party, nor does it indicate endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. We do not have control over third-party websites. These websites may place their own cookies or other files on your device, collect data, or request personal information from you. Different websites may have different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you provide to them.
